Personal data protection

European regulations on the protection of personal data are undergoing a major evolution, reflected in the General Data Protection Regulation « nLPD » of 27 April 2017, which came into force on 25 May 2018. Our company is committed to complying with the regulations that can improve relations with our European customers and has complied with the new regulations. In this charter, it expresses its commitment to the quality of the services it offers to its customers, whether individuals or companies. This new regulation, which affects European citizens who do not work professionally and are therefore considered « private individuals », reinforces citizens’ control over the use of their data. The regulation applies to all automated or non-automated processing of personal data, regardless of whether that data is contained in a file or stored.

What is personal data for a private individual?

By definition, personal data are: « Any information relating to a natural person identified directly (surname, first name) or indirectly (by an identifier, or customer number, a telephone number …). The identification of a natural person may be based on a single record (ABS number, SS) or by linking a set of data.

What personal data we may collect?

. We collect only appropriate and relevant data strictly limited to the provision of the service you ordered and , with your consent, data related to our commercial and promotional activities.

Why do we need to collect and process your personal data?</h2

Your personal data is collected and processed to enable us to complete, manage, modify and perform the service you have ordered and , with your consent, to inform you about the services and products that you can use at Swiss Fast Repair.

Who receives your personal data?

. . Your personal data is intended for Swiss Fast Repair employees depending on their function and for some of our subcontractors. All of our employees have been trained and adhere to the nLPD. Our subcontractors also adhere to the requirements of the nLPD and this to ensure the proper performance of the service ordered. None of the information collected is shared or sold to third parties that are not approved subcontractors. The data is hosted exclusively in Switzerland and Europe.

How long do we store your personal data?

Personal data collected and processed in the context of an ordered service, a business contact or a sales transaction will be kept according to the legal limitation periods established according to the type of contract and in compliance with Swiss rules, i.e. 10 years. In the context of commercial advertising, personal data are kept for 2 years after their collection or the last contact with the data subject. Subsequently, the data is anonymized to provide the basis for statistical studies by the company.

What security measures are taken to carry your data?

Paper carriers that are not filed in secure locations are destroyed immediately. Electronic information is stored with a professional hosting provider that ensures a high level of security. Access to this information is reserved and protected. Individuals with access rights are appointed by management.

What rights do you have?

In accordance with the applicable general regulations on the protection of personal data, you have various rights, namely :
  • Right of access: You can obtain information about the processing of your personal data as well as a copy of this personal data.
  • Right to rectification: If you believe that your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that such personal data be corrected accordingly.
  • Right to erasure: You may request the erasure of your personal data within the limits permitted by law.
  • Right to restriction of processing: You can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • Right to object: You may object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. You have the unrestricted right to object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of commercial canvassing, including profiling in connection with such canvassing.
  • The right to issue instructions going beyond the storage, deletion or transmission of your personal data also applies after your death.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: If you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
